INDICATORS / OSCILLATORS TRAINING

Here you will discover which popular indicators investors and traders use!

Please note: Throughout the video presentations below, I will be using TradingView for my indicators. To this day, this is the tool professional traders use, to analyze price charts.

Depending on the trading methods I use, I will combine some of the indicators (Support/Resistance, SSL, EMA, SAR) and oscillators (STOCHASTIC RSI, RSI, MACD) below before taking trade positions (Or to buy for long-term hold).

So here are the top 7 indicators/oscillators I personally use:

1. Support & Resistance Levels

Reminder:

- Levels of support and resistance are probably the most important thing to learn as a crypto investor and trader.

- You can do these lines yourself, but to be honest, many beginners over-saturate their charts with way too many line. If you are new to crypto, it is recommended to use an indicator that will do it for you

- Never only rely on your levels of support/resistance to enter a trade or buy coins. Use it in congruence with other indicators/oscillators before taking decisions to buy/sell coins.

2. SSL

Reminder:

- The SSL Indicator is a custom trend following technical indicator which can be used to identify short-term trend or momentum reversals. It is based on a moving average which has been modified in order to properly identify the average price of the short-term momentum, as well as its reversals.

- Never only rely on your SSL to enter a trade or buy coins. Use it in congruence with other indicators/oscillators before taking decisions to buy/sell coins.

3. Moving Day Averages (EMA Lines)

Reminder:

- Institutions use the 200 EMA for trade entries and exits

- Retail traders will most often use the 50 and100 EMA's

- Definitive UPTREND: Above the 50 EMA

- Definitive DOWNTREND: Below 200 EMA

- Never only rely on your EMA's to enter a trade or buy coins. Use it in congruence with other indicators/oscillators before taking decisions to buy/sell coins.

4. Parabolic SAR

Reminder:

- The Parabolic SAR is only good to evaluate current trend changes

- It works well in any time-frames for people who want to make a quick buck and take small percentages of profit

- Never only rely on your Parabolic SAR indicator to enter a trade or buy coins. Use it in congruence with other indicators/oscillators before taking decisions to buy/sell coins.

5. Stochastic RSI

Reminder:

- The Stochastic RSI is another oscillator that is used by most traders

- It allows you to see whether or not the market is 'Over-Bought' or 'Over-Sold'. Needless to tell you that knowing where the price is at, allows you to know if you should be buying/selling/waiting to enter a trade

- The Stochastic RSI works best in smaller time-frames (5 min, 15 min, 30 min, 1 hour)

- Never only rely on your Stochastic RSI oscillator to enter a trade or buy coins. Use it in congruence with other indicators/oscillators before taking decisions to buy/sell coins.

6. RSI

Reminder:

- The RSI is another oscillator that traders use a lot. Its purpose is to see the trending direction in real time

- The RSI works best in smaller time-frames (5 min, 15 min, 30 min, 1 hour)

- Never only rely on your RSI oscillator to enter a trade or buy coins. Use it in congruence with other indicators/oscillators before taking decisions to buy/sell coins.

7. MacD

Reminder:

- The MacD is one of the most used oscillators by traders

- But the MacD only works well in MOMENTUM periods i.e. when the price is moving up and down, not being stagnant

- When things are in a 'RANGE' the MacD is useless

- Never only rely on your MacD oscillator to enter a trade or buy coins. Use it in congruence with other indicators/oscillators before taking decisions to buy/sell coins.
